TSIBA Work Readiness

Course Fee R799.00

What is this course about?

The course is developed and endorsed by TSiBA Business School. Embarking on any new phase in life will be both challenging and exciting. The good news is that, if your next new chapter is entering the world of work - this course can help! You may have heard the saying,  “Fortune favours the brave, but we say: Fortune favours the prepared". This course will help you understand how your attitude makes you more employable. You will also learn the basics of health and safety in the workplace (including how to manage stress), ethics and codes of conduct, and it includes a ‘touch base’ on human relations and fairness.

Who should be doing this course?

Anyone who wants to be involved in the presentation of your resume, how to present yourself at interviews and necessary workplace etiquette, and finally, the ‘what and how’ of financial planning - business and personal.

Learning outcomes

After completing this course, you should be able to:

  • Identify important self-attributes (Who am I?)
  • Understand aspects of himself and his workplace
  • Demonstrate an understanding of Ethics and Codes of Conduct
  • Identify and be aware of the requirements of landing a job
  • Demonstrate an understanding of financial planning
  • Understand Human Resources and fairness in the workplace

Your course mark is calculated using the average mark obtained in each of the Chapter tests. In order to pass this course, you must obtain a final course mark of at least 50%. This means that even if you fail a few of the chapter tests, if your test marks in the other chapter tests are high enough you will still be able to pass the course. Good Luck!

Study at your own pace!

We’ve created our courses to suit your busy life! The duration of this course is based on a student guide where one 300 – 500-word article is read per day, and the assessment is done on a separate day after the relevant articles have been reviewed. But you can do the course in your own time and at your own pace. If you choose to do two readings per day, it will take you half of the estimated time, four readings per day mean doing the course in a quarter of the time etc. We leave that decision up to you!

In the 6 chapters of this course you'll be covering the following areas:

CHAPTER 2 Me And My Workplace
CHAPTER 3 Ethics And Codes Of Conduct
CHAPTER 4 Landing The Job
CHAPTER 5 Managing Your Finances
CHAPTER 6 Human Resources And Fairness In The Workplace
