STOCK MGNT. STANDALONE ROLE (FMCG /Retail 1000's of line items / JHB.South / R25k gross pm)- READ AD at BM Recruitment

URGENT APPOINTMENT

In essence you would have worked with stock at relatively senior level; you would be someone who has operated on his own; understand processes, risks, the accuracy and control needed; be a solution finder in terms of fine tuning processes; as well as being a "figures" person.  SAP system experience would be advantageous.  

This long established concern based in City Deep, Johannesburg South sell their stock via sizeable retail store.   At the same premises but located in different areas are four different warehouse / storage areas. Their stock holding is approximately R14 Million with 1000's of small line items.  There is a Warehouse Manager overseeing the receiving and capturing of stock into the system.    

   Looking for a candidate who is very much "on top of his game", analytical and focused always on continuous improvement - bit of a stock specialist as such. 

KPAs   

• Overall hands-on management of the inventory for the entire business across various warehouse areas
• Implement controls and processes around stock to improve controls and processes currently in place
• Co-ordinate and implement weekly/monthly/annual stock take activities
• Opening to closing reconciliation of stock to ensure accuracy and identify any differences
• Reporting on stock variances with corrective actions to be implemented
• Investigate stock discrepancies
• Prepare /draw regular stock reports and action accordingly
• Perform detailed inventory analysis on a regular basis to ensure adequate inventory levels
• Monitor, coach and guide team members in stock procedure and expected standards (unlike some environments there are not full-time stock counters reporting to you; you would train and utilize retail store staff to assist in stock takes etc.) 
• Provide management with information/ reports concerning stock movement i.e. top sellers, slow movers, etc.
• Implement appropriate controls to curb stock losses
• You should have your own transport and comfortably be able to work in City Deep, Johannesburg South.  Working hours are Monday to Friday 08h00 to 16h30 however, during certain times of year, such as annual stock take (February) and high stock intake, typically (September-November) you need to be flexible to work additional hours & over weekends.
